pp. 350; 360. B&W illustrations. Volume XI of Author's National Edition, The Writings of Mark Twain. Bindings tight in both volumes; text pages flat, clean and clear. Volume I shows damp staining to edges, especially front endpapers, title page and illustrations including frontispiece, which are on glossy paper. Staining is confined to edges. Volume II is clean; shows no stain. Wear to the spine extremiites of Vol. I; less wear to Vol. II. Back board of Vol. I shows some effect of damp stain at a corner. Nevertheless, nice copies; good in hand, clean and easy to read.
