106 pages. This is a 1987 facsimile of the 1946 first edition. An essay of about 40 pages addresses the influence of Dutch and especially English influence on Swedish cabinetmaking in the 18th century. Until then outside European influence was mainly French. Following the essay (in Swedish) and a short English summary a section portrays a number of chairmakers' marks, then a section of 80 photo-illustrations of chairs, and finally line drawings showing especially profiles of legs, rails and stretchers. This is a facsimile of the original published in 1946 by Oscar Isacsons, Goteborg.
